NoBIAS Summer School 2021
Artificial intelligence without bias
The first NoBIAS Summer School will be held this year virtually. We are happy to invite everyone to attend the lectures and listen to inspiring keynote speakers. NoBIAS will develop novel methods for AI-based decision making without bias by taking into account ethical and legal considerations in the design of technical solutions. The core objectives of NoBIAS are to understand legal, social and technical challenges of bias in AI-decision making, to counter them by developing fairness-aware algorithms, to automatically explain AI results, and to document the overall process for data provenance and transparency.
The list of speakers includes:
- Krishna Gummadi,
- Ricardo Baeza-Yates,
- Alexandra Olteanu,
- Stephanie Law,
- Mathias Niepert,
- Hinrich Schuetze,
- Katharina Kinder-Kurlanda,
- and Annette Zimmermann.
Date: September 20–22, 2021, starting at 9:30 am CEST.
Registration is free. You can register for one, two, or all three sessions. For details on registration, the detailed schedule, and information about the abstracts and the speakers, please go to https://nobias-project.eu/index.php/nobias-summer-school/.
